Sozopol is one of the oldest cities on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast and one of the country’s most popular seaside resorts. The romantic atmosphere of the city’s beautiful old town attracts visitors from all over the world.

The walking tour in the Old Sozopol introduces you a charming little town with beautiful wooden houses, churches and ruins from the Rome era. Of course you will not miss the place where in 2012 archaeologists came across an unusual finding in the old town of Sozopol - the remains of a medieval vampire. To an ancient temple, among many cemeteries, the team found two burials older than 700 years, with clear signs of rituals against vampire. The bodies were pierced through the chest with iron rods to supposedly stop them from turning into vampires. The vampire's skeleton is kept in the local museum.
The stroll  around the Old town gives a great taking pictures opportunities- the two islands near the town, the reconstructed fortification walls, the old houses and the fig threes.
